Download the correct IGNOU assignment cover page format, see exactly what to write on it, and avoid the most common reasons study centres reject a submission.
And why your assignment can be delayed without it
The assignment front page (also called the cover page) is the first sheet attached to every subject-wise IGNOU assignment. It tells your study centre and evaluator who you are, which programme and course the assignment belongs to, and which session it's for. Without a correctly filled front page, staff may not be able to match your answer sheets to your student record — which can delay marks or, in the worst case, get the assignment rejected.
You need a separate front page for every course you submit an assignment for.
